Founder · San Francisco Bay Area
David J Siu founded Waystone Industries after more than two decades leading software organizations, to offer what he could never find: senior people across more than one discipline, in the amount the work actually needed.
He was VP of Engineering at The League through its acquisition by Match Group, and before that ran engineering groups at Neustar and Nextag.
Across those companies, the common theme was the same: get the product out, and put in place a way of working that lasts.
2019–2025
VP of Engineering
Led backend, mobile, QA, and data science through a platform rebuild, compliance, and security reviews that put The League in position for acquisition by Match.
2013–2018
Director of Engineering
Modernized delivery across five product groups, then worked on defining how the rest of Neustar built and shipped software.
2006–2013
Director of Engineering
Ran several consumer sites and several mobile apps, and put agile, TDD, and continuous delivery in place so they could ship.
